If you’re a fan of chocolate than brownies are it for you! The basis for making brownies is chocolate, so every chocoholic needs to have tried them at least once in their lives, and once you have, you cannot resist them ever again… This is basically how my craving for brownies began a long time ago.. I don’t know if it’s fortunate or not, but they are not that common in the supermarkets so buying them is not easy.. Of course, making them yourself is always better than in the shops but you just have to dare to try… Today, I’m sharing my basic recipe for making chocolate brownies… You don’t even need to say chocolate as it’s the basis for making brownies, but I just love to say chocolate!
What you need::
- 60 g butter (lactose free or other)
- 200 g fine sugar
- 125 g pure chocolate (lactose free or above 72%)
- 1 tablespoon of syrup or honey
- 2 eggs
- 3 bags of vanilla sugar
- 100 g baking powder
- 20 g cacao powder
These ingredients should make for about 15-16 brownies.
How you make them::
Put the butter, sugar, chocolate and syrup/ honey in a small pan, that you put on a low temperature. Stir from time to time until everything is melted. Switch the temperature off, and let the mixture cool down. It’s OK to be still a bit lukewarm, but it doesn’t need to be room temperature.
In a bowl, whip up the eggs and the vanilla sugar until it’s smooth. Add the content of your pan to the bowl, and continue mixing it on a low speed until it’s an smooth spread.
Add the baking powder and cacao powder to the mix, and continue mixing until it’s again a smooth spread.
Pour the entire batch in a oven shape that is covered with baking paper.
Bake the brownies for about 25 min in a preheated oven at 190 degrees.
Note that brownies continue to bake after you’ve taken them out of the oven, so keep them in the oven shape until they’re completely cooled down.
The result is a bunch of delicious brownies that stick to your mouth and that you cannot keep your hand off from 🙂
There are quite some variations to making brownies, so I will try some more in the future, and will let you know how they turned out! Of course, as always I’m making them lactose free but you can easily switch the lactose free ingredients with normal butter or other variations.
